About us

We are family. We are David, Miyuki, and our son Cameron. Over the course of more than 35 years, we have gradually transformed a derelict, rambling farm—first into a cherished holiday home, and now into an exciting wedding venue with boutique rooms in which to stay.

While we have been hosting weddings for many years, Cameron took over the event planning and management back in 2014. Having grown up in London but possessing a deeply outdoorsy spirit, he knew early on that he wanted to make Rancho his home. He is fluent in Spanish and bursting with energy—two invaluable attributes when it comes to running successful weddings in Málaga.

David, a true enthusiast of reclaimed wood, bought the property in 1983. While the original farmhouse dates back to the 1850s, the rest of the estate is a cornucopia of building materials that David salvaged from across Europe and beyond, resulting in a unique fusion of architectural styles. The spaces are furnished with truly eclectic pieces: a shelving unit from a Surrey post office, an ancient Salamanca door, a raised-iron Rajasthani bed… there is even a shower room completely open to the skies. No two rooms are alike, yet they share beautiful constants—terracotta tiles, arched shuttered windows, and bespoke ironwork and balconies.

David originally built «The Barn»—now home to our dance floor, bar, and celebration area—on a whim, with no initial idea of what it would become. Friends visiting the building while it was a work in progress were often quizzed on what use they thought it could have. Among the suggestions were a dance or yoga studio, a gallery, and an artist’s residence. While it has proudly served as all four, no one could have guessed that when it «grew up,» it would become such a brilliant space to host weddings.

Today, we offer you an exclusive 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom wedding venue. We love welcoming couples from all over the world, and we are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen by couples not only from Spain and the UK, but from all corners of the globe—including Japan, Australia, Venezuela, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Poland, France, Holland, and Belgium—reflecting our eclectic theme all over again.

Looking forward to welcoming you here,
Miyuki
